I was responsible for the performance of Optimal's greenhouses with the goal of maximising yield using our proprietary technology. We achieved breakthrough results with yield 13% higher than gold standard Dutch greenhouse operators and >100% higher performance than start-up operators in the US.I spent a lot of time with tomatoes, cucumbers and expert growers.

Project development for a greenfield greenhouse project on the US East Coast. Highlights included:- Secured term sheet for non recourse project debt.- Led development of in house tooling for site selection building on Optimal's proprietary climate and crop models.- Built the most detailed and adaptable financial models in the industry for multi-crop greenhouses.- Wrote proposals to local/state government and economic development agencies which secured commitments for $10M in support for the project.

Responsible for the back-end of the company across ops & finance. Raised >£2M in government grants across the Netherlands and UK while the company had 6 employees. Finance & legal DD for equity raises.Various project work with Founder on partnerships, go to market, product strategy.

European listed infra (toll roads, airports, ports, shipping, freight forwarding, airlines) + building materials initiation.Building models, writing reports and thinking in terms of cashflow and returns across the capital stack. This later turned out to be useful experience.Left my dream job to join Optimal Agriculture as employee #3 and moved to Rotterdam.
