Exelis Inc. (Formerly ITT Mission Systems), : I was promoted from Inventory Specialist. My responsibilities included assisting the Supervisor in performing inventories related to the Army Prepositioned Stock (APS) and assign team members inventories and daily tasks. Assisting in identifying equipment and ensure scans are current to meet PWS requirements. Provide training classes to Inventory Specialists and Leads on AWRDS and FEDLOG 3 times per week. Prepare Inventory Adjustment Reports (IAR's) as necessary. Maintain morale levels within the team by rewarding them by recognizing the types of rewards. During this time period I was assigned to another section to be part of a special issue. I ensured equipment that was replaced/exchanged during the mission were correctly identified and processes were followed to track equipment locations. Maintained a 100% accountability of over 50,000 pieces of equipment, receiving acknowledgement from senior management on my organization and leadership abilities.

ITT Mission Systems, Inventory Specialist: I was promoted to Inventory Specialist as I helped create an inventory team for ITT Mission Systems. My responsibilities were to ensure that all equipment had been identified, labelled correctly and scanned to meet the required deadline. I used a PDA to scan items and I have excellent knowledge of the workings of the PDA. I mentored new employees and trained them on the correct use of the PDA. I carried out detailed classes on AWRDS queries and building refreshable spreadsheets.

URS Federal Services, : New Company had taken over the APS-5 contract. My responsibilities include setting up the new contractor to be in compliance with military and new PWS regulations. I ensure my team are trained on the new PWS requirements whilst still maintaining accountability for over $6 billion of US Army equipment (sensitive and non-sensitive items). I am responsible for the inventory of all Army Prepositioned Stock (APS) and DTS (Direct Theatre Support) rolling and non-rolling stock equipment. Planning and coordinating the workload to optimize resources, personnel, and equipment, accounting for over 400,000 pieces of equipment. I manage a team of approximately 50 personnel. I ensure a 100% inventory is conducted every year utilizing a smooth work load over the 12 month period on all APS5/DTS equipment, including location survey prior to inventory. I also ensure 100% monthly sensitive items inventory is conducted and this is co-ordinated with other sections to complete all inventories as required.
