Sophia was the Office Manager for the Princeton office of midsize New Jersey law firm Sills Cummis & Gross. She was responsible for the day-to-day operations, management, purchasing, and maintenance oversight of the office.

As a publicist Sophia secured and coordinated television, radio, and print media interviews for entertainment clientele, and composed the weekly newsletter, press releases, letters, press kits, and other promotional documents. Sophia also supported the President in preparing presentations and in everyday planning, such as organizing media events and other promotional meetings.

Planned and promoted over 100 blood drives on DC-based college campuses for the American Red Cross, including venue relations, donor recruitment, personnel supervision, and all other aspects relating to the operation of blood drives. In this role Sophia also aided the CEO in organizational strategic planning, purchasing decisions, budgeting, and cost-cutting strategies.

Created promotional materials, publicity clippings, and formal documents for the Senior Vice President of Marketing. Assisted Marketing and HR departments with office duties such as proofing and editing proposals, researching data, word processing, filing and other administrative duties.

B Positive Plasma was co-founded by Benjamin Ruder (CEO) and Sophia Rigatos in 2010, and the organization specializes in the collection and sale of blood plasma, including specialty plasma products. As Chief Operating Officer, Sophia is involved in all strategic planning, financial, legal, contractual, and other organizational aspects pertaining to the founding and continuous operation of B Positive Plasma.
