Works with the Coastal Research Institute studying microplastics found within invertebrates in intertidal zones. Utilizes Microwave Digestion and Fourier-transform Infrared Spectroscopy instruments in order to assess the chemical composition of microfibers extracted with vacuum filtration on gold-coated membranes. Also works as a SURP (Summer Undergraduate Research Program) scholar to conduct experiments on Trapdoor spiders and their fitness based on their paternal lineage. Work includes collection, inventory, emulsion, centrifugation, and gel running. The chi-squared test is used for statistical verification of significance.

Works under the subdivision program When Black and Brown Go Green, a planned intergenerational interactive podcast series centering on stories showing the relationship between the fight for climate justice and racial justice with historical and cultural connections.Tasks include research, social media duties, and interactive discussion on Environmental Racism, Urban Ecology, Energy Economic Independence, Art Activism, etc.

Oversees editing and publication of all incoming news, politics, editorials, and sports articles from Journalism students and classes. Conducts outreach to collect curated content. Copy-edits and publishes digital storytelling projects.

Worked in a research lab to study avian flight collisions and presented the work at the Loyola Marymount University 2019 Research Symposium.
