Fixing bad habits we developed during Covid aka `Covid Cleansing`

- Joined as a 3rd full-time engineer and grew the team to 35 in a year, including European contracting teams operating in a near-autonomous fashion.- Helped company grow 10X GMV (10 MM to 100MM+) by building stripe terminal integration, Kiosk upgrades, Inventory management, Guestbook, introducing CRM solutions, and delivery integration.- Introduced minimal new team operating processes, applying first principles to improve dev lifecycle and overall quality like feature flagging system, dogfooding sessions, incident management system, collaborative culture (sprint planning, kickoff, retro & happy hour), and automating deploys.- Created a new engineering career ladder, reorging teams to run autonomously, coaching emerging engineering leaders, and organizing engineering-wide onsite.

After Spark Networks acquired Zoosk, my responsibilities and focus have been:1. Making Spark Network achieve a successful seamless migration of Zoosk to Yopeso (and in some cases to Spark) esp working across 4 different timezones. 2. A good career transition plan for employees by playing it right by the people.3. Bridging the "Domain Knowledge" gap between Zoosk, Yopeso and Spark networks in Eng, Product and Analysis for Spark Networks to execute at similar speed after Zoosk SF is shutdown.4. Successfully planning and executing key revenue projects for 2020 EBITDA goals. Search migration has improved sales in average by 2%. Executed email validation (single handedly) which improved funnel conversion by 10%. Integrated Zoosk's CRM system with Braze to facililate Spark's CRM team to run campaigns (emails) without engineering involvement.

Owned and Managed three teams: API/Services, Search and Payments; 15 engineers in total. Recent accomplishments include 1. Lead and converted all legacy microservices to modern infrastructure including conversion to spring boot, swagger ui, dockerizing and supporting ASG with minimal DevOps support. Projects in the past 3 years have been designed and developed as loosely coupled systems. We also employed event driven architecture when necessary. 2. Enhanced our photos service and migrated to modern microservices framework. As a result, we prevented outages at peak time of the year. 3. Managed search team to migrate users from 18 shards to one ElasticSearch clusterOwn and support business critical features including 1. SmartPick, Campaign, Search, Carousel and Profiles 2. Notifications (in app, mobile) and emails - integral part of our system's communication3. Login/Signups for all different products and third party integration (Google & FB)4. Purchase and renewals for Subs, AddOns and Zoosk Coins.5. In total, I hired 6 people out of 15 backend engineers. I have been a critical contributor for hiring in BI, DevOps and Payments as well. Led integration of Trading Systems with Portfolio Analysis Systems including requirement analysis with business team, hosting meeting with developers to agree on approach, design & interfaces and implemented BDS requirements.2. Enhanced BDS to handle Foreign Exchange (FX) securities by leveraging the Rebalance and Orders Engine, which enabled clients use a single system to re-balance and trade FX instead of rebalancing data in excel sheets to issue orders one at a time.

1. Migration of Sell Side Order Management (Trading Systems) from Data Mapping architecture to Data Layer architecture resulted in tremendous performance improvement.2. Enhanced the BLOB parser for FIX Messages.3. Code cleanup for easier maintenance.

Designed and developed a performance analysis application “PerfoDa” for SEVED simulation by comparing raw simulation data with 3GPP TS 45.005 requirements, noise values and modulation schemes

Developed new menus and modified existing menus of the Trade Finance module of Finacle (Universal core banking solution from Infosys) to meet the CBR (Central Bank of Russia) standards.
