Mouse technician in the lab of Hopi Hoekstra in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. I was in charge of maintaining a breeding scheme to minimize inbreeding and maximize genetic diversity. I had to check for new pups regularly and wean pups of age. I assisted PhD students and lab members with behavioral assays including creating sand sand mounds for burrowing, monitoring mice in assays, dissecting liver tissue, and video scoring. Student research intern in the College Qualified Leadership Program in the Department of Malaria. I wrote an abstract for my project: "The Kinetic of Human Hepatocyte Infection by Sporozoites". I dissected mosquito salivary glands for sporozoite extraction using a microscope. I performed Immunofluorescence Assay (IFA) and Inhibition of Liver Stage Development Assay (ILSDA). I maintained and propagated adhesive hepatocyte cell lines, as well as visualized cells using a fluorescence microscope.

Initiated and assisted in at least 10 appointments 4 days a week for a busy small animal hospital. I prepared different specimen for lab work (i.e. spinning blood, dipstick of urine). I restrained animals for procedures under a doctor or technician's surveillance. I prepared and cleaned animals for surgery, as well as observed one surgery a week, including spay, neuter, and abdominal surgery.
