I am an environmental scientist and project manager with 18 years’ experience in contaminated land management and project management. I have experience in all facets of environmental investigations including Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments and associated fieldwork tasks (soil, groundwater & surface water sampling), remedial action and validation plans, waste classifications, human health & ecological risk assessments and asbestos & acid sulfate soil management plans. I have extensive experience in the supervision of sub-contractors, from small-scale drilling/test-pitting projects to large-scale remediation projects as principal contractor where I was responsible for the direction and supervision of sub-contractors, site safety and implementation of site environmental management plans. I have been involved in the remediation of hundreds of sites across the country including service stations, fuel depots & gasworks decommissioning; design and installation of soil & groundwater remediation systems (LNAPL, DNAPL and soil vapour remediation); capping & containment; and landfill gas, groundwater & surface water monitoring. Highly developed written and oral communication skills were required throughout each project.My knowledge of relevant local, State and Federal legislation lead me to gain an understanding of the requirements of clients, site auditors, government bodies, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.
