This program connects some of the best chefs in the nation with Wisconsin Cheese – some of the best cheese in the nation. The WMMB Chef Ambassador program taps the culinary creativity of these talented chefs to develop exciting new menu applications. In addition to developing recipes, chef ambassadors also spend the year spreading the word about Wisconsin Cheese through a special chef-invitee event in their restaurants, making media appearances and appearing at food events and conferences.

As Assistant Director/Chef I wear many hats; chef, menu planner, production, purchasing, culinary training, and special project management. On a day to day basis I handle weekly cycle menu planning, web updates and theme meal planning mixed in with Presidential requests for more upscale service for our Alumni.

The MedCHEFS program at WVU Eastern Division is breaking new ground by emphasizing nutrition and exercise in interactions between medical doctors and patients. The Medical Curriculum in Health Exercise and Food Sciences (MedCHEFS) provides medical students with effective tools to help them change health problems like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease, which are most common in West Virginia. Leaders at the WVU Health Sciences Center Eastern Division have changed the curriculum for future physicians through this innovative program, and it aims to expose medical students to the science of nutrition and exercise in a way that will help them provide sound patient care and advice regarding healthy lifestyle behaviors. The program aims to teach skills that will provide young physicians with the self-assurance needed to speak about diet and exercise and evaluate a patient s readiness for lifestyle change through motivational interviewing

The Chambersburg Civil War Seminars, sponsored by the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce and coordinated by Ted Alexander and Scott Anderson, are held three times yearly. The summer seminar, held annually in July, commemorates the burning and rebirth of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Chambersburg was ransomed for $100,000 in gold or $500,000 in currency. When the residents did not make payment, General John McCausland ordered the town to be burned on July 30, 1864. Over 500 structures were destroyed, and Chambersburg became the only northern town burned during the Civil War.
