* Lead attorney for 19 local branches on labor/employment disputes before an arbitrator, state court, and state agencies involving claims of salary lane determinations, contract interpretation, duty of fair representation, unit determination, job reclassification, employee benefits, bonus pay, health insurance premium increases, & workplace misconduct. * Advised internal clients regularly on MSEA’s employment liability policy, employee misconduct investigations, witness preparation for testimony, and legal compliance. * Created and updated a training curriculum for MSEA staff, members, and local branches on compliance with federal and state laws including state education code, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, workplace privacy concerns, IDEA, and EEO related matters. * Analyzed proposed state legislation’s likely impact on the Association.
