 Provides direct support for all DAR veterinary departments as needed, including but not limited to:• Veterinary Treatment Triage: Providing clinical care and coverage for sick cases during times of vet staff outage; Clinical case management and medication administration; Assisting with rechecks and case load during busy times; Keeps medical records consistent with DAR SOPs; Tracks use of controlled drugs according to DEA regulations; Notifies Tx/Tg supervisor of low stock or other supply needs Quarantine and Quality Assurance Diagnostic Lab: Giving tours and orientation of the Necropsy suite to lab members; Processing diagnostic samples: Husbandry and clinical care of quarantine animals; Quarterly QA sentinel testing Rodent Managed Breeding Service (MBS): Clinical care and breeding record keeping consistent with DAR SOPs; Cage change and new-born litter management; Weaning; Daily health status observations  Large Animal Surgery: Post op observations; Clinical case management and medication administration; Pre-, Peri-, and Post-operative support; Keeps medical records consistent with DAR SOPs  Provides veterinary technical assistance for animal procedures not directly associated with DAR veterinary departments. • Can act as primary technician for principal investigator technician assistance requests, including but not limited to tumor burden scoring, animal health observations on behalf of researchers, and medication administration. • Resource techs may be asked to learn clinical techniques that assist in research data collection or experimental design. Examples include: Oral gavage, tail vein catheters, rodent anesthesia monitoring, etc.  Assists with management and maintenance of veterinary department equipment and spaces.  Training new vet staff members and veterinary residents in Treatment/Triage, including weekend and holiday coverage Managing/Training vet tech students
