Peer leader and subject matter expert in recruiting process and guide materials.

With my work in the recruiting department, I do a lot of screening of potential driving candidates for open positions and apprenticeship training. This usually has me thinking on my toes depending on the questions I am asked by candidates and the requirements set by business needs. I'm able to balance all of this and hand off candidates to the next stages in the hiring process successfully and with an overall positive experience.I am able to identify the resources available to me to be as self-sufficient within my role as possible while still relying on my colleagues for additional help if I am unable to find a solution on my own. I am flexible with just about anything thrown my way, whether that be process change or coming up with documents used as reference material by the department.

Under the direction of Dr. Meacham, I help manage the Teaching Press and our multitude of projects. I work with acquisitions and project planning, as well as helping direct workflow for new interns. I am also always learning in this role, an example being my recent experience with transcribing a two-hour interview between a client and one of our summer interns.
