Contact teacher is a educator who provides intervention and instruction to assist at-risk students to develop appropriate behavior, coping skills and social skills. The teacher plans and uses appropriate learning skills, activities, equipment and materials that meet the needs of the students. The contact room is used as an alternative learning environment and is accessed when students need a different place to focus.

Went across Canada to promote the health aspects of Eggs on behalf of the Egg Marketing board through Consumer Impact Marketing. My partner and I would set up displays across Canada at Mall's, Events, Television and Radio spots across Canada to educate the public about eggs.

As a health and physical education teacher I help children develop physical abilities and healthy habits that can last for the rest of their lives. I organize games and challenges that promote physical activity among children and young adults from kindergarten to Grade 5.

The Fresh Start – Suspension Program is for students under suspension from a Peel board school for four or more days.The program:-is a short-term, intensive intervention-is staffed by both teachers and child and youth workers-focuses on maintaining each student's academic progress while providing intensive support in areas of social and personal skill development-addresses special learning needs and Individual Education Plans (IEP)-provides social work and psychological support for student-focuses on anger management, social skills, decision-making and individual counselling in the non-academic program-maintains academic progress through supervised work sessions which are provided by the home school and monitored by the Fresh Start teacher-provides students with ongoing support through the Neighbourhood Policing Unit and Peel Regional Police Show less
