IMAGINE... Spotlessly clean empty white rooms of a newly constructed high tech grow facility (some rooms only bare, unfinished cement), when I began this opportunity. These were the soon to be needed post-harvest operations rooms... Today, in contrast, there is an excellent post-harvest/packaging/shipping/inventory team in place, with all necessary systems, equipment, packaging materials, vendor/transport contracts and processes in place to follow. Consistently producing and shipping a range of SKUs within categories of packaged flower, prerolls, concentrates, ingestibles and live resin vapes. Shipping high quality products to B2B customers daily, maintaining strict compliance with government regulations throughout each step. Fluresh is a premium vertically integrated cannabis company in Michigan. When I joined this impressive management team, it was early in the start up phase of the company (pre-revenue, pre-first harvest). At this early stage, there existed no post-harvest teams, equipment, packaging materials, processes; these were my key initial objectives (along with functional department heads), in order to successfully and consistently achieve fulfillment of orders. All processes to get from a freshly harvested plant to a quality packaged finished good also required strict compliance with MI LARA MRA regulations, METRC track & trace system and GMP. It took beyond significant teamwork by all involved to get this done, and I am extremely proud of what was accomplished by this team. Contributing to this success has been incredibly rewarding! Now that my work here is done, I am excited for my next challenge!

SUCCESSFUL AT IMPLEMENTING IMPROVEMENTS COMPANY-WIDE AND THROUGHOUT EXTERNAL PARTNERS:New eProcurement solution, Social Responsibility program, Food Contact Safety testing, TMS (Transportation Management System), BI (Business Intelligence) tool Tableau. All in collaboration with cross-functional teams. These changes resulted in streamlined processes, increased internal and external controls, standardization across the supply base, risk mitigation, brand protection, vastly improved reporting abilities and unprecedented visibility.IMPROVEMENT AND CONTROL OF SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY:Evolved supplier qualification process and post-qualification controls. Implemented overseas manufacturing 3rd-party QC. Oversaw AQL QC at our DCs and quality issue resolution steps. Designed CAR (Corrective Action Reporting) process for all supplier non-compliances (quality, delivery, service, cost categories) and linked with Supplier Scorecarding system.ACHIEVEMENT OF COMPANY CERTIFICATION FROM US CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION:Researched requirements from zero starting point, to attain CTPAT Certification and Tier II Validation. Being a CTPAT Certified organization provides increases lead time predictability and reliability as well as reduced risk on every single shipment incoming from outside the US, regardless of supplier or any other factor.  RECOGNIZED FOR INNOVATION AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAM BUILDING:Eagerly accepted additional responsibilities as member of company’s inaugural cross-functional ‘Innovation Team’. Resulted in significantly increased engagement of all company employees as well as suppliers.

IDENTIFYING GLOBAL SUPPLIERS FOR AND MANAGING VAST RANGE OF PRODUCT AND SERVICE CATEGORIES:From MRO, CapEx, warehouse materials and manufacturing plant raw materials; to outsourced services for production and national installations; to a boundless range of finished goods. Examples of finished goods categories include consumer electronics, apparel/textiles, illuminated and non-illuminated signage, multi-material displays, permanent fixtures, appliances, outdoor gear, sporting equipment, all types of barware and drinkware. Negotiated and closed numerous high-value contract deals with global and domestic suppliers.

CAREER PROGRESSION: Promoted from entry level to Senior to Supervisor within the same year, based on performance and ability to quickly step up and manage the company needs. This fast growth period required significant self-initiative and hard work with limited resources.

HIGHLIGHT ACHIEVEMENT:Reduced cost on direct material buys by creating reusable worksheet which identified trends and patterns across team members, allowing increased volume spend leverage.· Prepared RFQs, supplier quote recaps, and then sourcing packets for presentation to upper management.· Analyzed new sales releases and calculated savings over cost book to establish sourcing budget.· Compiled and mailed out contract extensions to suppliers.· Analyzed inventory and observed product orders that ensured adequate supply.· Developed my abilities to complete time sensitive tasks and work well in a team environment.
