I started as a dispatcher which was basically answering phones and helping the senior dispatchers with the drivers. After a couple years I was promoted to senior dispatcher. As a senior dispatcher I would dispatch drivers to their jobs, help schedule future jobs, and assist the dispatchers with their overflow of phone calls. After about 3 years of that I was promoted to chief dispatcher. With that promotion I managed the other dispatchers and all the drivers.
