Now handing over to the Barcelona based Spanish team after delivering the two Preliminary Events.

Overall responsibility for the delivery of the sport (Sailing) and the venue, as I was in a joint role of Sport Manager and Venue General Manager. I had responsibility for 97 paid staff, 557 contractors on venue and 566 amazing volunteers (Games Makers).The 380 athletes from 64 nations, were controlled by 189 Technical Officials and supported by approximately 400 coaches and team officials.The Sailing events have received numerous accolades, including the ISAF Presidents Development award (Nov 2012). The main developments that we drove were:The first paying spectator site for Sailing in the OlympicsBranding incorporated on boats, sailors, buoys and buildings and taken to a new levelWorld Class Race Management and on water deliveryIntegrated TV delivery

Responsible for the creation and delivery of a new event structure and in conjunction with funding from UK Sport, a Major Events Strategy for Sailing in the UK, to be delivered by the RYA. Highlights were the record breaking (most Nations involved) ISAF Youth World Championship 2006 and the establishment of an Olympic Classes World Cup event, running from 2006 - 2012.I had responsibility for a small HQ based dedicated team that I managed and events were delivered by a combination of contractors and volunteers requiring approximately 400 people to deliver each event
