Leading on the advocacy strategy for the introduction of road safety laws in India. While using strategic intervention tools, I spearheaded projects and teams, which delivered a strong evidence to leverage the policy agenda with a range of stakeholders, including Govt. of India, State governments, Members of Parliament, Media, Consortium of NGOs among others. Executed a range of campaigns which involved spreading awareness of the laws via public gatherings and advocated the road safety agenda with Members of Parliament (MPs) and Govt of India by different interventions, including using a variety parliamentary procedures and getting over 100 MPs to support the issue in the Indian Parliament.

My role included coverage of political and social issues in the National Capital Region (NCR). This job took me to different parts of the country to cover a range of reporting assignments. Having worked as a journalist for four years at NewsX, one of India's leading English news channel, I have an in-depth understanding of the media, communications and reporting. I have worked across different departments and adhered to demanding deadlines, particularly when managing my own team, in covering projects like civil society movements and state and national elections in India. My experiences have made me comfortable with producing and managing content in the multimedia space.

Researched and managed cases of domestic violence with the women’s cell at the organisation. Women equality is a subject close to my heart. I got an opportunity to interview domestic violence victims, to understand the agony they go through, why they go and how the patriarchal system and lack of education is responsible for their deplorable situation.
