My background is in fish nutrition and resistance to stress, with strong background in biochemistry and lipid nutrition in marine fish, and use of plant ingredients as substitutes to fish meal and fish oil. Present research projects include nutritional requirements of diploids and triploids growth genetically-engineered Atlantic salmon studied through feeding controlled levels of nutrients and protein/energy practical diets. Leading the nutrition projects at the Center for Aquaculture Technologies, working with a multidisciplinary team of scientist to provide research-based solutions and contract services for the aquaculture industry. This includes the use of nutrigenomics and molecular techniques. Experimental designs, evaluation test data, R&D project preparation and management under GLP regulations.
