The DSL then builds the Ed-Fi XSD, ODS DDL and other metadata required for the REST API allowing for a single source of truth across different data representations. Managed team of ten developers through kanban process. Worked directly with customer to determine the product’s feature priorities and scope of work. • Jan 2014 - May 2014: Reworked the Ed-Fi XSD data standard and ODS schema to support the automatic code generation needs of the Ed-Fi REST API. The culmination of this effort is the Ed-Fi 2.0 standard, released April 2015. This work required quickly learning in depth needs of the various facets of the domain and negotiating with stakeholders on how to implement needed changes. Established naming conventions and design patterns to be used in all future development and extension of the data standard.• Nov 2012 - Jan 2014: Developed application to allow developers, business analysts, and clients configure metadata used to power web dashboard. Technology stack includes Bootstrap 3, Knockout, Knockback, Backbone, Backbone Relational, jQuery, REST web application, ASP.Net MVC, Automapper, code-first Entity Framework 5, and StructureMap.• June 2011 - Nov 2012: Worked on the Ed-Fi Dashboard, an application providing up to date educational metrics to teachers, staff and administrators in five pilot districts in Texas with support from the Dell Foundation.
