1.Evaluate the feasibility of different animal projects including PK, efficacy and Tox studies, and design the study plans2.Oversee and manage the whole process of projects as a project manager3.Provide consultations in different research fields such as engineered antibody products, CART therapy and tumor models

Project 1: Safe source of human cortical interneurons maintains long term anti-epileptic efficacy in epileptic brains without overinhibiting the circuitry• Designed pilocarpine induced epileptic mouse model and trained 6 technicians in laboratory techniques and animal management • Planned and executed GABAergic interneuron differentiation from hESCs, and trained technicians to perform cell transplantation in the epileptic mouse brain• Led a team of 5 people in studying the long-term safety and anti-epileptic efficacy after cell transplantation by performing EEG, histology, electrophysiology, stereology and animal behavior tests.Project 2: Large scale generation and characterization of homogeneous populations of migratory cortical interneurons from human pluripotent stem cells• Employed spinner culture to perform large scale generation and differentiation of hESC into GABAergic interneurons • Accelerated the maturation of GABAergic interneurons with a combination of defined chemicals Lab Management:• Provided lab research training for technicians• Guided and mentored 4 summer students
