Founded in 2015 by Rebecca Katz, Paul Remer and Jen Yasis, Healing Kitchens provides nutritional resources to hospitals, consumers, healthcare practitioners and senior care providers. Major customers include Stanford Healthcare, UCSF Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins, Genentech and other pharmas.

Served as US-based counsel for Singapore company that develops communications satellites that provide high-speed internet to underserved nations in the Pacific and Southeast Asia. Along with company executives, negotiated and drafted project agreements with Boeing, SpaceX, JSAT (Japanese partner company) and numerous others. Kacific 1 was successfully launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 on December 16, 2019 and Kacific 2 will follow.

Appen provides linguistic services to companies who wish to bring their products to global markets. Clients include Microsoft, Oracle, HP, Nuance, eBay, Amazon and numerous others. I headed up a business unit that delivers custom linguistic services. I also hired and managed the company’s global marketing department.

Returned to Siterra (Company I co-founded in 2001) to head up business development and sales in the wireless business sector.

As CEO of this social media moderation business, I developed deep expertise in social media best practices, online safety and content moderation. Built company to 20 employees with dependable monthly recurring revenue. • Defined SaaS as the business model for the company • Raised financing of over $8M led by Hunt Ventures • Served as General Counsel, handling all contract drafting and negotiations• Hired VPs of Marketing, Sales and Engineering • Put in place all necessary systems and processes for the successful operation of the companyKeibi was acquired by Lithium Technologies (www.lithium.com).

Selected by investors Sierra Ventures and Catamount Ventures to run newly-capitalized Piczo, Inc. on an interim contract basis. Original 3 month contract was extended due to success in rapidly stabilizing the firm and meeting all objectives. • Took company from 5 to 30 employees in 3 months. Hired key executives and staff including VPs of Tech Ops, Marketing and Sales; established UK office, hired MD • Managed all legal matters, including selection of international counsel in Europe and Asia • Negotiated contracts with ad sales rep firms in the UK (MSN) and Australia • Closed B round financing at over 100% higher than post-money valuation of previous round • Worked with investors to successfully recruit permanent CEOPiczo was acquired by Stardoll (Sweden).

Launched new software company to provide SaaS-based enterprise solutions to the wireless industry. Returned in 2009 to help with business development and successful exit via acquisition of the company by Accruent.
