Responsible for design, development and production of systems used for controlling tubular motors, including the design of a new type of gravity-fail-safe motor and systems to provide basic control functionality. Design of the electronics, creation of circuit schematics/pcb layouts, required to produce a prototype/production of the devised systems, in accordance with the connectivity features and constraints outlined by the company. This included legacy support for other motor types, embedded timer controls & user documentation. Also responsible for setup/creation of in house electrical assembly department, staff training, quality/testing and technical support.Technical aspects included Digital/Analogue/Power Electronics, Lead-Acid circuits; Sensors (Capacitive/Inductive Proximity, Electromagnetic Pickups/Reed Switches & Photoelectric), Asymmetrical/Multifunctional Timers and PIC12 Series Based timer developments.
