Completed a project on “Characterization of Alkalies-Surfactant for EOR application for Assam Crude Oil” using Spin Drop Tensiometer and Interfacial Rheometer. The project involved characterizing the properties of Assam crude oil from Digboi oil field and further preparing and characterizing Alkali and surfactant solution to obtain minimum possible IFT value for most promising result. During the project, I worked on several software including RHEOPLUS, DSA2.version2 and GCMS.

As an intern, I worked on a core flooding experimental set up to understand the spatial distribution of injected water. Colored water and ink was injected into the core and patches formed on the surface of the core was observed to obtain the conclusion.

As a part of curriculum for one day excursion, we got acquainted with coal bed methane (CBM) extraction process and first exposure to oil and gas industry. During the excursion, we were introduced to well simulation services and CBM producing wells.
