I am a Headstart teacher at Tynan early childhood education Center. I have a class of 20 students where we work on building the foundation of their skills set. The intention is to set up our students to be successful in the education system.

I was teaching at Henry B Gonzalez Elementary School for the 2018-2019 School Year. I worked in a self contained classroom where I taught all subjects and I helped students build their educational foundation. I tried everyday to engage these bright minds to use their critical thinking, problem solving, and inference skills.

I am an admission officer for 13+ higher education programs at the School of Health Professions. My position is primarily focused on 3 components: public relations, customer service, and management. I have represented the School of health Professions in the SA community events, at collegiate fairs/meetings, and am the first person to host prospectives for one-on-one meetings. I have evaluated thousands of applications a year and coordinate the needs of multiple university departments. I maintain the marketing and communications for prospective students; This includes email campaigns, correspondence, and education. Volunteers and student workers are under my management and I often recruit and manage on behalf of higher level personnel. Multiple times during my employment I have stepped-up where needed to support and guide the Office of Admissions & Special Programs; I have served as:-Interim Director of Admissions -Interim Marketing Specialist-Interim Content Creator In my position, I advanced my expertise in Constant Contact, Adobe Indesign, Qualtrics, Survey Monkey CAS application systems, Effective Communication, Google Analytics, Google Drive, Peoplesoft, Microsoft Tools, TES: Course Finder, and more. I am a quick learner and have learned a considerable amount during my time at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

I worked as a bilingual substitute teacher in the Northside Independent school district. I was responsible for teaching any material, lesson, and social skill set by the teacher in their lesson plans. I actively maintained a positive environment and encouraged student to complete their work in an unpredictable environment. I am Special Education certified as well as permitted to work with bilingual students.

I love the role of being a caregiver, rule enforcer, nutritionist, cook, driver, child locator, child safety monitor, event organizer, tutor, arts, and crafts leader, you name it! I'm very fond of children of all ages but limited myself to small families.

The summer of 2015, I spent my time working as a student intern. Some highlights of my position were: refining my Spanish grammar, organizing, secretarial work, assisting with international customers, assisting with management of pricing and financial inventory, and selling directly to the customer instead of through online resources.

I was a part of a team of Texas Tech undergraduate students that assist the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in recruitment of freshmen and transfer students. The duties consists of current students calling, emailing, and video chatting with prospective students. Using recruiter technology I am privileged to personal information and understand how to handle confidential information. I regularly share my experiences as a Texas Tech student and am educated in how to answer questions concerning the University and the Lubbock area.
