Future innovations based on FDA approval include diagnosis of Lyme disease, Hemostat, Bacterial panels. The cost savings per patient are currently estimated at $30,000 per patient due to deescalation of anti-microbial therapy and decreased hospital stays from early treatment. This does not even take into account the healthcare costs associated with patients who survive sepsis. Patients with morbidity need constant support after inpatient treatment. #T2Biosystems
