I advised senior management on deal negotiations, bid strategy, and value considerations. As such, I orchestrated due diligence efforts across multiple departments, gained stakeholder buy-in, and provided recommendations to management to inform decision making. I supported several M&A deals in various capacities throughout my tenure at EQT, ranging from asset acquisitions valued at $30M to large corporate mergers valued at $8B.Additional highlights:• Played an integral leadership role on elite team that drove EQT’s upstream acquisitions, which transformed the company into the largest producer of natural gas in the US through $15B in transactions and positioned the company as the natural gas consolidator in the Appalachian basin and US.• Drastically increased EQT’s core position 300%+, growing the company’s market share from 8% in 2015 to 25% in 2020.

I advanced to direct the evaluation process, including all aspects of presentations and evaluations - valuation modeling, land analysis, and asset development planning, among others. These promotions solidified me as team lead and a recognized me as a top performer at EQT. I earned the President’s Award for outstanding performance and contributions during the 2016 acquisition campaign where we executed three acquisitions for combined considerations of ~$1.1B. I led an update and refinement of the company’s consolidation strategy that included reaffirmation of core assets, geographical areas of expansion and divestment, and expected competitor strategy and capability.

I joined EQT in 2013 with an interest in combining my background alongside an existing operator to drive inorganic growth and further develop my transactional skill set. As a senior analyst I would conduct deal evaluations and prepare presentations for investment decisions. Additionally, I researched and summarized emerging market trends, changes in competitive landscape, and acquisition target developments. In 2015 I spearheaded the multi-department evaluation and ranking of 20 acquisition targets and presented the findings to executive management. The outputs from this exercise were used as the basis for EQT’s consolidation strategy in 2016 and 2017.

I transitioned to Centrica in 2011, initially as a member of the Direct Energy Business finance team, growing my FP&A skill set while leveraging my valuation experience to actively support multiple investment decisions. Soon after, in 2012, I joined a 7-person business development team at Centrica Energy that explored business expansion into the North American E&P industry through mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. This opportunity provided broad exposure to the oil and gas industry as well as various domestic and global considerations.

During my time with Deloitte, I provided valuation services for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for clients’ financial reporting, tax planning, and management planning purposes. This experience was invaluable to my early career development as it exposed me valuation considerations across multiple industries but also began to develop both my project and client management experience.
