Providing infrastructure, strategy, program development, and revenue generation to advance the A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation's mission to improve the 26% five-year survival rate of lung cancer through increased funding of translational U.S. research, improved disease awareness for earlier detection, and support and education for people living with lung cancer. With a focus on improved patient outcomes, the position includes ongoing development of a dynamic business model and execution of mission-based programs that address the gaps and barriers associated with an underserved and stigmatized disease. Thanks to a robust national research program that has led to new treatments, strategic marketing and events that educate the public about lung cancer for earlier detection, and emotional support of families impacted by lung cancer, our organization's annual revenue has grown from $200,000 to more nearly $1.6 million in recent years.
