Led the Platform and Web engineering teams to drive the vision, direction, and execution of Marqeta's growing Global Payments Platform. Individually contributed to the scaling efforts in a microservices-based infrastructure with a focus on AWS cloud-native practices. As a member of SLT, contributed to senior leadership hiring, company’s tech direction, culture and org design including location and skill set strategy.

Built an OAuth2 and OpenID Connect based solution to enable security and identity of APIs across 30M+ customers. Led several Security, Identity, AWS based Public Cloud Infrastructure, and CI/CD initiatives within the Consumer Identity Engineering Org.

Part of the Streaming Platforms org, led the team responsible for building APIs for Device Metadata, Partner Engagement and Certification Workflows.

Expanded my role to support the teams building all APIs and the Back-end infrastructure at IGN. Opened up APIs for gaming and editorial content allowing IGN to build an even stronger, connected community of gamers.

Led the Social Platform vision, architecture and engineering with a public/private hybrid API. Built the product (MyIGN) with a small team from ground up by implementing OpenSocial and Activity Streams Specs in Java which hosted 110K DAUs.

Led the architecture, design and development of services based, secure and robust distributed applications using open source frameworks for the brokerage business. Built a messaging layer using ActiveMQ to enable real time streaming quotes to power Mobile E*Trade, and wrote an OAuth 1.0 Server from scratch to secure the RESTful Trading APIs.

Worked as Sr. Software Engineer/Tech Lead while employed at Impetus, and later at Accenture - BEA Systems, Washington Mutual Bank, 3M, WebHelp, Rorke Data, OptionCare, and Arzoon. Developed applications in Java/J2EE while coordinating projects with offshore teams.
