The Gillen Brewer School is a state approved and funded, 12-month program. At the Gillen Brewer School Morgan worked to meet the diverse needs of children with development, language, learning, and emotional disabilities. She has worked with students ranging in age from pre-school to second grade. These students range with diagnoses including: Preschool Children with Disability, Language Disabled, Speech Impaired, Emotionally Disturbed and Other Health Impaired. She worked with a team of professionals including teachers, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists and counselors. In addition to writing and conducting lessons she has overseen and worked with assistant teachers to plan and implement lessons. She has conducted and led bi-weekly team meetings to track student progress and develop individual behavior plans.

Morgan is currently the special educator at PS 527 providing ICT services. She works to plan and conduct lessons as well as differentiate materials, create individual behavior plans and modifications for students. She designs curriculum with her team of educators to best suit the school mission and drive for a universally designed and inclusive teaching model. As the special educator for the grade, Morgan writes IEP and quarterly progress report for her students. She generates goals appropriate to the skill set of her students and conducts meeting with parents and professionals to advocate for and support the needs of a variety of learners.
