Product Development, Market Reserch.

Work on Strategy formulation according to the retail market trend and competitor's information.Source the right product from the right suppliers by assessing their resources capacity with alignment of Wal-Mart's expectation (business development). Analyze the market forecast for the merchandise; obtain appropriate products to present to the buyers for new business opportunities (product development). Coordinate and liaise with buyers & vendors for identifying new products and work closely with team manager to develop the supplier base and improve the business prospects. Provide recommendation and guidance to buyers for understanding the supplier base and get appropriate product from the right supplier. Work on costing and Negotiate quotes & prices to get best prices from suppliers by keeping the idea of “every day low price”. Ensure the quote sheets are filled up by the team members within the deadline to enable the suppliers for on time production. Advise supplier for bulk production after getting approval from all concerned department.Review and follow up with suppliers/brand team for proper execution of orders according to planned “Time and Action plan “on regular basis to ensure on time shipment with right quality and right quantity. Provide guidance to the suppliers to understand and follow up the systems and procedures of Wal-Mart.Follow up on ES certification request with supplier and ES team.

H&M - Hennas & Mauritz Ab, Bangladesh Liaison Office, which is one of the world’s biggest garment buyer & seller, based in Sweden, having selling countries in 21 countries thru1414stores including Men's, ladies & children’s items for shirts, trousers, pants, shorts, jackets etc.As a Merchandiser for Woven (Newborn/Baby-Baby, Infant, Toddler) Department - I was responsible for price quotation, order follow up, day to day communication with Sweden office & Hong Kong office along with garment maker, find new potential supplier, give technical knowledge to maker regarding production, sometime do inline & final inspection of orders .From 19 May 2002 to December 2003.From January 2004 has been promoted to Research & Development woven department as Research & Developer Woven (Newborn/Baby-Baby, Infant, Toddler, Lady’s & Men's) Department and continued to working for the same till September 2004From October 2004 started working as Senior Merchandiser, Woven (Denim) Department as well as R&D (research & development) for Denim department both adult & children’s working for the same till 08 June 2007.I was also responsible for Fabric sourcing and Technical support (Woven) Department in H&M-Hennes & Mauritz AB, Bangladesh Liaison Office for this time period.
