Worked in in Professor Paul Kwiat's Quantum Information and Quantum Optics group, building a polarization-independent digital quantum memory, predicted to operate at 10^5 times more time-frequency bandwidth than the current leading quantum memory. Other work studied the intersection of physics and biological systems, answering whether or not the human eye is capable of detecting a single photon.

Was a Teaching Assistant PHYS 403, an Advanced Lab class for upper-level undergraduates. Guided students through Quantum Optics experiments, focussing mainly on experiments in quantum erasure and entanglement.Was also a Teaching Assistant for Computing in Physics, where upper-level undergraduates use Python to develop and run Shor's algorithm on a quantum computer simulation. Other projects include using C++ to develop and train neural networks to study physical processes.

Used machine learning to develop risk model for gas leak prediction -- final model captured 91% more gas leaks and 144% more hazardous leaks than the previously used expert forecasting model

Worked at the Alcator C-Mod tokamak, Investigating velocity rise times of plamas in relation to current, current densities, energy confinement times, etc.

Worked for Professor Anand Tripathi, programming Android applications. Worked on a variety of application types, involving GPS & mapping capabilities, image downloading, media playback, fragments, lists.

Worked with Professor James Leger's optical systems group. Main focus was imaging project, working primarily with various waveguides. Also exposed and developed holograms for solar cell project.

Travelled to various Kindercares around Minnesota to educate elementary school-age children about being environmentally conservative. Put together a fun and informative presentation; earned Girl Scout Gold award for project.

Worked under Dr. Paul Crowell to test and experiment with various physics labs for upcoming undergraduates.
