• Prepare appropriate plans, materials, and learning activities for both undergraduate and graduate students to achieve the learning outcomes of each class both in person and on-line• Hold lectures and discussions on topics ranging from basic nursing skills to complex medical, ethical and practical issues on-line via Canvas• Coordinates with Clinical Instructors and complete ATI assignments• Navigate and grade discussion boards, papers, and presentations for graduate-level courses• Develop, assign grades and analyze; assignments and test• Stay current with developments in the field by completing required CME each year

• Acting Director of Patient Care Service in the absence of DPCSs, oversees the entire hospital, budget, personnel issues, and handles patient/family concerns.• Interviews hires and recommends termination of employees in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures.• Mentors new department directors, managers, and supervisors.• Monitors, controls, evaluates, and reports departmental expenditures for salary, equipment and supplies.• Develops annual department operating and capital budget requests with justification and within established timelines for all hospital equipment.• Works effectively as a member of the Management Team to accomplish hospital organizational goals, develop a strategic plan, develop a positive working relationships with the medical staff and to develop positive interdepartmental communication regarding department programs and services.• Designs and manages programs in a computer based learning system including mandatory in-services for The Joint Commission and Center for Medicaid and State Operations (CMS) regulations.• Establishes policies and procedures and oversees formal presentations and competencies for; nursing, respiratory, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology and other staff as well.• COVID liaison for the hospital.• Collaborates with outside agencies and in-house agencies to arrange in-servicing that provides contact hours for licensing through the state.• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve best patient outcomes and acts as a clinical expert in specialty. • Promotes a secure and safe learning environment for staff, patients and students. Incorporates National Patient Safety Goals in practice and theory for staff and students.• Oversees and coordinates orientation for all departments and advocates for staff member to receive the necessary experience to become an expert in his or her specialty.• Works with all nurses to improve patient outcomes through simulation exercises.

Provides direct supervision and instruction of nursing students in the clinical setting.
