During the COVID-19 pandemic, I co-founded Homekitchens with my brothers to create a platform where home chefs could share and sell their meals. We developed a mobile app for iOS and Android, bringing homemade food to customers in London and Toronto. Despite strong early interest, the business faced hurdles with scaling and navigating strict food safety regulations in Canada. While we ultimately decided to close the company, the journey taught me valuable lessons in developing go-to-market strategies, executing marketing plans for a niche audience, and understanding the challenges of raising capital in the early stages of a startup.
