Intern supporting the activities of 2 PhD students which were part of the BMM BONE Project. Conducted extensive cell culture and ex-vivo experiments for the project. Also assisted in microCT scanning for the in vivo experiments and constructed a Finite Element Model to simulate the loading conditions experienced by the bone surrounding the implant which had been inserted.

Collaborating on the development and testing of a sustainable large scale power storage systems with a team of engineers. Organization of the chemical lab and prototype battery systems from both operational and safety perspectives. Mentoring and coaching of student engineers during their internships and graduation projects.

Tissue engineering of articular cartilage by means of chemically modified natural biopolymer constructs. 3D printing of hydrogels, mechanical testing and analysis of constructs, cell culture and bioreactor design and construction.

Focusing on field joint coating techniques and materials, tensioner pads, platform installation aids as well as industrial equipment development. Full product development experience from concept design to detailed design, fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning. Expertise in polyurethane, polypropylene, polymer surface treatment and steel surface treatment for corrosion protection and adhesion improvement. Coaching and mentoring of students and junior colleagues.
