At Retykle I am responsible for the IT at the company. Currently supporting operations in 3 countries (HK, SG, UAE), contributing daily on all sides of the stack. In my first 12 months at Retykle I:- Setup CI/CD for our operational apps- Transitioned the SDLC at Retykle towards SCRUM based process - Hired additional engineers - Identified medium & long terms plans for the IT dept at Retykle In months 12 - 24 I: - Contributed significantly to a new profile for our users, the profile merged the sell side and buy side into one profile and leverages internal and 3rd party APIs - Built a desktop app (python) to facilitate automated background removal using 3rd party APIs - Built out our integration (Shopify App) with 3rd party brands that stores purchases made at 3rd party brands (in an arbitrary JSON format) in the users Virtual Closet under their Retykle Virtual Closet (structured JSON with out values) - Built an AI enhanced form that allows users to upload items into their Retykle Virtual Closet with little more effort than uploading a photo from their phone In months 24 - onwards I: - Built a new way for Retykle Operations teams to process inbound items, moving away from all fields being populated by humans to majority of the fields being filled by AI reducing the processing time of item processing by a further 50%On a day to day basis I use the following tools and technologies: JavaScript, Typescript, Python, ExpressJS, NestJS, React, Liquid, PostgreSQL, Sequelize, AWS, S3, Elastic Beanstalk

After my employment at Boxer TV A/S I took upon my self to seek new challenges. I was so fortunate that the mother company, Teracom Group AB (now Teracom Boxer Group), was in need of another system manager for the Microsoft Dynamics Nav solution which is the core in the IT ecosystem at Boxer TV. While this meant a move from Copenhagen to Stockholm it was an easy decision for me to make - and I moved to Stockholm to pursue the job. As a part of a team of three persons working as systems managers for our Dynamics Nav solution my responsibilities includes: - Planning and performing releases to our Microsoft Dynamics Nav - Designing solutions for the system in collaboration with the users- Participating in designing and maintaining integrations between our Dynamics Nav and our webshops/datawarehouses/other systems.- Participating in larger agile IT projects ( >5 MSEK)- Working with the database (Using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio). This has included working with replications, store procedures and the like. - Performing data changing operations in the database. - Assisting in planning and performing tests As a part of the team my role has been mostly defined by my intimate knowledge of our webshops and the business in it self which I accumulated while working for Boxer TV A/S.Furthermore I'm primarily responsible for a smaller system, LIME, which serves as an integrating system between our Dynamics Nav and the actual broadcasting systems. In my work with LIME I have similiar tasks to those I have when working with Dynamics Nav, though to a lesser extend. Furthermore I have a financial responsibility in my work with LIME. Where as my work in Boxer TV A/S often was hectic and involved a lot of day to day problem solving, my work as system manager is more about structure, planning and foresight rather than firefighting.

When I joined Boxer TV A/S the business consisted of 20 dedicated employees and some 20.000 customers. During the years of my employment both of these number increased dramatically - when I left Boxer TV A/S almost 50 persons were employed and we had some 300.000 customers. Such a growth in such a short time span requires a innate need to solve whatever problems you encounter, a willingness to quickly adapt to new realities and a dedication to improve ones ways of working as well as the business as whole. During my time in Boxer TV A/S my roles varied greatly, as a result of the growth and changes we went through. My roles and responsibilities in Boxer TV A/S included the following: - 3rd line support of our (at the time) outsourced customer service- Primary responsibility for product configuration for our webshop (Inhouse CMS and a little EPI server) as well as the underlying systems (Microsoft Dynamics Nav) - Primary resource in various joint IT projects, often carried out in collaboration with Boxer TV AB (The swedish sister company) - Creating, maintaining and revising procedures used in customer service and other areas of the business- Designing and ordering improvements to our webshop and underlying systems. - Planning and performing tests of product configuration as well as of changes to the code base. - Various BI tasks (Using QlickView) - SPOC between the Product department and the Customer Experience department. When I look back at my time with Boxer TV A/S I feel a certain pride in the fact that I know that I've affected the business and hopefully so in a good way. I would sum it up by saying that every day at Boxer TV A/S always was quickly paced and represented a lot of possibilities to me to improve as a colleague and person - going from a relatively small start up company to one of the biggest Pay TV operators in Denmark was certainly both a challenge and joy.
