Developed a white-labeled m-commerce iOS app for design and distribution of photo-oriented gifts, featuring a custom approach for displaying users' photos as they will appear on the gifts, in real time. Released versions for multiple vendor partners, plus a self-branded version (Relive Gift Shop). Within the app, users choose photos from their local camera rolls or multiple cloud sources, preview them as they will appear on physical products (mugs, wall panels, etc.) and order gifts and prints, shipped to them directly.

Recruited into a temporary role to turn around a long neglected native mobile effort. Developed v2.0 of the Evite iOS app for creating and managing online invitations, messaging, and photo sharing from initial conception through app store release, building an entirely new code base. Deployed the app into a large existing user base, resulting in ~ 700,000 downloads in the first week with an average app store rating of ~ 4.5 stars, before handing off the app to a newly formed internal team. Employed modern techniques including multi-threaded Core Data for local persistent storage, custom view controller transitions and controls, and efficient database synching through a RESTful API.

Architected and led development of v2.0, a complete rewrite and redesign of this localized social networking and messaging iOS app for college students. Greatly improved usability, performance, and security compared to previous versions.

Developed an iOS (iPhone / iPad) app for a multi-platform social photo sharing product "Relive Events", including a full set of features for viewing, capturing, sharing, and commenting on photos between multiple users, using Objective-C / XCode / UIKit. Optimized performance using multi-threaded (Grand Central Dispatch) Core Data.

Developed a unique software and hardware solution for home ECG heart monitoring using the iPhone / iPad. Measured ECG signals were sent as analog audio to the device using the headphone input or Bluetooth (HFP). Implemented Core Audio (Audio Units) to decode and OpenGL to display the signals on the mobile device in real time. Lack of IP protections and regulatory hurdles in this space caused us to abandon this promising wireless telemedicine application.

Lead developer and architect of Seismos CX, an electrical DFM tool for analyzing the effects of optical lithography on transistor and circuit performance in advanced semiconductor technologies. Defined the tool features and specifications, built software prototypes, and led all customer interactions within the R&D team.

- Led the Design Automation (CAD Engineering), Device Modeling, and Engineering UNIX/Linux System Administration team within the Analog / Mixed Signal design organization. Supported design and manufacturing activities at corporate headquarters and seven remote design centers including two international sites. Developed custom Process Design Kits (PDKs) for analog circuit design using EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, and others. Worked closely with EDA vendors to evaluate new tools and methodologies.- Performed device modeling and parameter extraction for high performance analog bipolar, CMOS, and DMOS technologies, including high frequency (S-parameter) characterization and extraction of VBIC, Mextram, and BSIM3v3 model parameters. Set up a modeling lab, including test equipment and extraction software. Designed test chips and structures for model extractions. Advised circuit designers and other engineers on device physics and process related issues.
