I studied under the animation program at Ballyfermot College of Further Education, Dublin, from September 2008 to May 2013. I graduated with a 2.1 honors degree and a higher national diploma, both for classical and computer animation. I believe I achieved these results through dedicated studentship as well as a passion for developing my draftsmanship and knowledge of the medium.

One week of work experience using Anime Studio Pro (now known as Mojo) to animate character scenes with simple gestures and lip-syncing exercises under the guidance of an animation director. This had proven to be a valuable introduction to how an animation production is conducted and organised as well as exploring how my experiences learning traditional animation in college can be applied to digital software.

During my time at Monster Distributes, I interned as a key pose animator using Anime Studio Pro (now known as Mojo) for the Travels of the Young Marco Polo. Despite being only for three months, this had proven to be more hands on in learning the ropes of an animation production, from developing how my knowledge of traditional animation can be applied to a digital animation setting as well as developing my first close circle of working relationships with fellow budding animators as well as befriending team leads, directors and production managers, many of whom I would work with again in the future.

Working as a senior 2D animator for an upcoming prime-time series for Bento Box. Also worked as a senior 2D Harmony animator on Captain Fall for Netflix. Using Toonboom Harmony 17 & 20.

* Worked as an animation team lead on season two of DC Super Hero Girls for Warner Bros, and for Cat Burglar for Netflix. Managing a team of seven to eight animators, including offsite freelance animators, in a remote setting. Working closely with my episodic director in reviewing animatics, writing animation direction notes for team members to follow and reviewed animation rigs through vigorous testing and suggesting fixes. Assigning scenes to team members, reviewing and approving scenes with Ftrack, managing retakes and problem solving with my team members through tight turnarounds. Also assisted in building a reusable animation library. Used Toonboom Harmony 17 and 20. DC SHG- 8 episodes. Cat Burglar - 6 levels

Danger Mouse - Season 2 CBBC / Fremantle Media (26 X 11min) 2D - Toonboom Harmony animated series Resuming my duties as animation director on the second series of Danger Mouse for the CBBC. Episodically directing a team of animators to meet their deadlines, supervising animation quality, approving character rigs and props, working with the creative director and production managers and seeing that various departments come together in the animation process to create a broadcast standard episode.
