All phases of powder coating. Chemical treatment of metal for coating. Also heat treatment of metal for hot coatings with the meatal being 450 degrees. Fit test certification also.

Set-up manual, and HAAS-CNC lathe and mill for turning and machining process, for the mechanical and maintenance department, with the use of tools and clamps along with measuring instruments. I used Haus mills and lathes for the custom work that was done in the shop. I also worked on a special project for NASA AMES in Mountain View Ca. Where I made pods that are set to be shot into space. The pods designed were a box style made from high grade T50 aluminum with a tolerance of .002+/-. I also did projects for the Sausalito Marine Mammal Rescue Center. Where I made rescue pods for marine mammals and machined safety lock mechanisms for the mammal in-closers.

All phases of electrostatic power coating, baking, sand-blasting and chemical bathing of automotive and motorcycle parts and different recreational vehicles. Also the reinstallation of the parts depending if the shop was doing a complete restoring of a classic car or modification on a newer model car, or if a part was dropped off by a consumer. I worked with the techs a lot because of my mechanical knowledge.

Installation of paper for the corrugators, the different thickness’ and colors, also the different flutes used for the corrugators that would determine the different sizes used for thickness of the boxes made. Along with maintenance of the gluers, rollers and cutters.
