Studied advanced topics in nonlinear ordinary differential equations Designed and produced a MATLAB program which implements the undetermined Gauss-Newton method to solve for periodic solutions of nonlinear ODEs

* Modeled experimental data and built electronic equipment for specific tasks in the MBE laboratory * Modeled experimental data from magneto-electric quantization experiments using Mathematica * Designed and built two electronic units that would remotely control a valve on the Molecular Beam Epitaxy equipment and signal the emergency phone of critical power failures in the MBE room

* Worked directly under the Vice President to continue progress on the creation of a Rare-Earth Research Institute at OU * Organized a lunch with 14 faculty members from several disciplines across campus and the Vice President for Research to gauge interest in the proposed research institute * Maintaining relations with an interested donor who has given over $5 million to OU while fostering connections with several key public officials in the Department of Energy in an effort to obtain funding * Researching key Rare-Earth topics including Japan’s recent deposit discovery for shareholders

Collaborated with three interns on three separate projects simultaneously throughout the summer Promoted to the position of Student Assistant to Vice President after successful summer internship Researched the feasibility of creating a rare-earth element research institute at OU through analysis of the current supply chain and research landscape, recent economic trends, and OU’s expertise and equipment culminating with a recommendation to pursue funding and work towards establishing the institute Recommended against further development of an academic CV databasing and reporting software based on market research and competitive analysis ultimately saving the university over $30,000 Created a micro-lending joint venture between OU and a community development private equity fund with the vision of lending to otherwise unbankable candidates in Oklahoma in the range of $2,000 to $100,000
