With over 25 years of IT experience, I have retired my efforts in helping people with computing problems, and changed my expertise to authorship and writing. My published books, include "Escaping the Jaws of Life" (2012), Through My Grandmothers' Eyes: The Story of Flora Dolina (book 1 in the series), Through My Grandmothers' Eyes: The Story of Mary Jackson (book 2 of the series of 6).I enjoy writing as my new creative outlet It excites me that I can create a beautiful life of the women in my genealogical line (two are my late husband's grandmothers). Dedication to keeping their stories alive is fun for me. So far, I have published the stories of Flora, and Mary. I am currently working on my own grandmother, Irene.

OwnerFunnygate Publishing Mar 2002 - PresentCameron Park, Ca, In El Dorado CountyInitially, my small business was called Funnygate Technolgies. My consulting services were useful in Southern Humbolt County, where I also created computer classes for the Senior Center, to supportive services for customers in Alameda and Contra Costa County. I changed to Funnygate Publishing, where I co-founded The Writers Journey, a group of people who wanted coaching on the skills of writing, authorship, some speaking events, and most of all inspiring others to do the same. If you would like me to speak to your group about writing memoirs, I am available.

It ProfessionalEbmud Mar 1981 - Jul 1996Oakland, CaMy early start with EBMUD was my hire into the Human Resources division. I was studying my Organizational Management curriculum and found this company was perfect for my future. With over 15 years of experience, I was reorganized and promoted, the last position for 10 years in the Information Technology Division. I became netware and Microsoft certified and helped create the "cross-over" positions for women into the division. I left them because of the "glass ceiling" and sought a better opportunity at a school district.
