I have a passion for education and believe that everyone should have the opportunity to have access to it. Throughout my career in college access I have had the opportunity to work with students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. In the last four years I have been working at McCollum H.S. as a College Adviser Assistant. I work directly with students on their financial aid, college applications, career pathways and apprenticeship opportunities. Additionally, I am responsible for planning, developing, and leading Financial Aid workshops, resume workshops, career fairs, and other college and career access related activities. To further help our students’ college pursuits, I have also created strong relationships with non-profit organizations who provide myriad resources to our school andI have gained knowledge in vocational/trade school literature. I have developed strong networking and teamwork skills to help our students reach their full academic potential.
