I am researching large landscape-scale collaboratives and the hurdles they face as they scale up to meet the need for increased pace and scale of forest restoration in the face of the changing climate. I’m particularly interested in how boundary-spanning organizations can help us meet the “triple bottom line” of social, environmental, and ecological regeneration. Ultimately, I hope to help collaborative organizations leverage policies to conserve and restore the landscapes that communities and identities depend on.

I cleaned and scrubbed data for The Public Lands Policy Group (PLPG) and our Wildfire Management Research Program Lead. PLPG produces original research to inform the practice of natural resource management and advance understanding of policy developments that affect public lands.

I work with the leaders of NRE and the supporting consulting team to increase the effectiveness of cross-jurisdictional coordination. I support a team in designing regional tabletop exercise focused on overcoming hurdles along the fire risk mitigation pipeline. I assist with agenda formulation, landscape selection, and a list of participants. I am also creating a social map of key non-Federal partners and entities at the municipal, state, and national level in the wildfire risk reduction space. This map will allow my team to draw connections and articulate each partner’s function and use of Federal and state financial and technical assistance programs. Along with the social map, I will produce an informal report with organized information about entities working in wildfire mitigation, response, and recovery in the focus geography.

I help customers choose perennials, grasses, and shrubs that will be resilient to Colorado's extreme climate. I focus on plants that are beautiful, vigorous, and drought-tolerant once established.

After selling my first business, an organic pie company, I obtained a certificate in holistic nutrition and developed a private practice as a nutrition and health counselor. As a young entrepreneur, I developed excellent time-management skills, researched current health trends, maintained an archive of actionable diet-related content, and led classes and retreats. My clients learn to powerfully support themselves, let go of self-sabotaging habits, and play a creative role in their own health. This work allows my clients to let go of emotional eating and other self-harming habits.

I collate data from diverse resources to create succinct educational content on sustainable textile production and carbon sinking. I ‘ghostwrite’ for farmers and producers to help them clearly convey their knowledge and expertise.

Dr. Cropley was the foremost Naturopath in Colorado, and I was fortunate to have him as a mentor. I assisted Dr. Cropley in leading seminars and synthesized alternative health research into handouts for his patients. I created and implemented long-term “education as marketing” strategy.

Connected with local farmers and producers to develop a local, organic supply network. Managed an ever-changing inventory to create delicious seasonal baked goods in a wood-fired oven.
