I am Temple Emanu-El's webmaster and the editor/creator of our weekly newsletter.

I loved teaching Hebrew conversation to a small group of adults, all starting from scratch with different reasons for wanting to learn.

I have been a member of Temple Emanu-El since 2000 and have always been a very involved volunteer. Over the years, I have been President twice; Chair of the Board of Trustees; Chair of Rabbi Search Team, and member of the Executive, Personnel, Spiritual Practices, Publicity, and Transition Teams. I have also written a number of successful grant proposals on behalf of the synagogue in the last few years.

Ora Academy is a High School for Jewish young women. I enjoyed teaching physics and chemistry in their intimate setting.

* Beginning Hebrew Reading * For adults who are starting from scratch or who want a refresher. Intermediate Hebrew Reading * For adults who can read Hebrew, but who wish to improve their speed and accuracy. Biblical Hebrew * For adults who can already read Hebrew and who want to know what it means. The Hebrew we are studying is that found in prayer books and Torah. Conversational Hebrew * For adults who wish to converse in Hebrew. Note: These courses are open to anyone – you do not need to be a member of Temple Emanu-El * and participants may join at any time. * The Center for Youth provides comprehensive programs and services from prevention education to counseling to emergency shelter to youth development opportunities with respect for and full participation of youth. We deliver these services with the deep belief that young people, given information and support, want to and can make their own positive life choices.
