• July 2020 - April 2021: Remotely develop preventive conservation course modules and information sheets for use at indigenous cultural institutions• May 2021 - Aug. 2021: Perform condition exams and treatments on a wide range of organic materials; participate in various projects, including an ongoing study on museum case contamination

• Managed artifacts lab duties and delegated weekly maintenance responsibilities• Kept track of chemical and tools inventory; ordered supplies when needed• Gave presentations on artifact handling, lab safety, lab maintenance, and basic treatment techniques

• Worked on ladders and scaffolding to fill losses, in-paint, and perform various other treatments on painted walls and crossbeams for the Currie Hall Project at the Royal Military College

• Managed the conservation lab and performed my own condition examinations/reports for the first two weeks of the field season while the lead conservator was occupied at another project • Proposed and performed treatments on ceramic objects under supervision from the lead conservator• Helped set up a community museum for the local population• Taught field school students how to write condition reports & supervised lab work and object handling• Ran a ceramic reconstruction demonstration for local children during an outreach program• Helped lead group discussions

I worked primarily in the Ceramics, Stone, and Glass Conservation lab at the ROM with Laura Lipcsei, but also participated in projects at the Ethnographic/Organic Objects Conservation lab with Jean Dendy. I worked on the following:• Condition reports and treatment of ceramic and glass objects - removal of adhesives, reconstruction, filling losses, desalination• Condition examination and treatment of a pair of caribou-skin boots• Solvent testing on a mercury- and lead-contaminated kayak in preparation for an upcoming exhibit• Condition examination of various Egyptian objects in preparation for an outgoing loan

I worked with Conservation Science, Paintings, Books, Prints and Drawings, and Textiles Conservation Departments for three months, performing small projects and observing conservators at work• Created housing for works in the Art Institute's library• Wrote condition reports and treatment proposals, conducted various treatments for works of art on paper (surface cleaning, humidification, mending, filling losses, washing, documentation) and textiles (surface-cleaning, attaching labels)• Worked in preventive conservation: changing hygrothermographs, learned how to monitor light levels, created a presentation for future use on preventive conservation

• Stabilized and rehoused lithics, ceramics, and fossil specimens at Dr. Paul Sereno's Archaeology Lab
