I held two positions during my tenure at Adobe. The first was Group Product Manager for Product and Technology Integration. In this role, I led the team that identified and defined the common technologies, such as font handling and color management, that could be shared across what were then individual 'silo'ed' products. By developing common software libraries that could be shared across all the Adobe creative applications, we improved product quality and functionality, while also enabling Adobe to move their sales model to selling a higher revenue-producing suite of products as opposed to stand-alone software.The second position was Group Product Manager for e-books.This team helped integrate the staff and software of Glassbook into Adobe after they were purchased. The resulting products were PDF-based e-book readers and servers that provided digital-rights-management capabilities to authors and publishers within PDF. Show less

I was responsible for the Book Publishing Group's demand print operations, as well as technology integration for the prepress departments throughout the group as RRD transitioned from analog to digital (direct-to-plate) prepress technologies. I also established and directed a centralized training and support team for all of RRD that provided classes, online, phone and in-person support for all of the digital prepress operations company-wide.

Led the team of product managers for the complete FileMaker product portfolio—since renamed to Claris, Inc., including FileMaker Pro, Pro Advanced, FileMaker Server and Server Advanced. Lead the UNC Online team at the UNC General Administration organization, which is the centralized management group that sets policy and performance objectives for the 16 North Carolina Universities. Responsible for the features and ongoing operations of the UNC Online suite of shared institutional services that connects all of our institutions. Services include a system-wide cross registration system, a unified proctor scheduling system for online exams, and a comprehensive online program catalog system that connects prospective students with over 370 online programs offered by our system.Support the UNC system in evaluating and implementing technology tools that are shared across our campuses.
