Responsible for digital strategy formulation and execution for Openserve, in line with Telkom strategic objectives. Responsible to provide clear end-to-end strategic insight and direction with a focus on efficiencies and innovations that focus on global trends, local market knowledge and competitor analysis. Also, responsible for the analysis and implementation of current and future technology changes impacting the regional Openserve Communications Network. Further responsibilities include managing effective fulfilment and assurance processes, supporting Openserve in creating the right balance between guiding the "business of today" and creating the "business of tomorrow", vendor management as well as the end-to-end process flows to create and maintain a positive customer experience.

• Establish and execute the business plan for the management of the Regional Core Engineering and Build (including Mobile build) and maintenance functions that will enable an innovative current and future stable infrastructure in the region.• Analyze and implement of current and future technology changes impacting the regional Openserve Communications Network.• Manage an effective fulfilment and assurance processes, vendor management as well as the end-to-end process flows to create and maintain a positive customer experience. • Managing the regional Core Engineering and build business plan in accordance with the Openserve strategy.

• Lead and direct the Openserve strategy and objectives through GIS • Provide commercial opportunity, and sales/ marketing insights by combining geographic-based (GIS) information such as population, socio-demographic/ consumer segmentation, business segments, etc with Telkom network infrastructure• Using GIS based technologies to ensure customer retention and growth for the company. • Analyse the spatial reports and provide the recommendations on implementation of special projects such as Pure Connect, FTTH Forced Migration, Metro Ethernet cost cutting measures, TBIs, Faults and FTTH Homes Connect drive.• Conduct testing of system changes and provide written analysis of test results (Netplan and GIS Web Portal).

• Manage human settlements projects throughout the project life cycle i.e. Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Close to meet performance expectations.• Ensure that a project charter and preliminary scope is available during initiation.• Manage contractors and ensuring delivery of houses timeously• Develop and execute an operational plan.• Ensure that all objectives of the projects are within Scope, Time, Cost and Quality constraints.

• Provide technical support for teaching and research in the School, through practical and tutorial assistance to undergraduate. Provide basic GIS or Remote Sensing (RS) software support and advice to Geography as well as providing digital scanning and image processing support to Geography.• Assist the Principal Technician (GIS/RS) on an ad hoc basis and help with general tasks within the school.• Manage all Technical equipment that is used for GIS purposes, making sure that all the GPS are in good condition, all are charged for work purposes, plotter machine is working and all the papers is available for job purposes, laminating machine is also in good condition.
