Coordinate NBFJA's Black Land and Power working groups to move towards building community land trusts and establishing a fund to support defense and acquisition of sustainable land for Black communities.

Project Manager for Our Money Matters (OMM), a financial literacy project aimed at improving the financial wellness of HBCU/MSI students and the residents in the schools' surrounding communities. OMM offers a unique and integrated approach to financial education through its innovative partnership with community stakeholders, interdisciplinary college/university leadership, and student affairs departments, while providing access to a suite of supportive services to combat the issues of emergency fund management, food deficits, and clothing shortages which are common economic challenges for communities with diminished financial literacy skills and with college students in particular.

I build the capacity of municipalities, nonprofits, Federal agencies, and foundations that are undertaking community economic development initiatives. Directed national projects funded by various Federal agencies including US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS). Ensured profitability of each contract by monitoring spending and invoicing, identifying and assigning subject matter experts to project teams, tracking and analyzing performance data, initiating and cultivating client relationships, and targeting new business opportunities.

Conducted research and interviews, and co-authored several articles on post-Katrina disaster relief, including: Management Strategies for Disaster Recovery Managers; and The Pros & Cons of Using Loaned Talent in a Post-Disaster Setting: Philanthropic Support for New Orleans City Government After Katrina. Wrote winning grant proposals, and organized a full-day, grants management workshop at a national U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development conference.
