It Project ManagerCentury21 Department Store ['Jul 2012', 'Mar 2013']POSITION: IT Project Manager July 2012– March 2013Hired to project manage various projects for IT department. Led team meetings, wrote project plans, and managed milestones to deliver projects on time and to spec.PROJECT: General eCommerce SiteWhen I joined Century 21, the eCommerce site implemented a flash-sale concept. Customers could only browse products after logging into their account (or registering for a new one). Products were organized into timed events that lasted anywhere from three days to two weeks before dropping off the site.During my tenure as project manager, the largest project was to convert the flash-sale site into more of a standard eCommerce concept where customers could browse anonymously before committing to buy.I worked with all of the Century 21 departments: merchandising, copywriting, creative team, IT department for back-end integration and infrastructure, warehouse team, marketing, and finance — to complete the project. I acted as the point of contact for the eCommerce platform vendor who built the original site, and was also developing the redesign. I managed the QA of the new design and launched it on time. The success of this project resulted in my transfer to the eCommerce department, and subsequent promotion to Director of Web Production.
