* This purpose of this role was to manage the production and distribution of the financial reporting and assist in budgeting, for a third of the Randstad UK operating companies - along with a team of 2 direct reports - which included the control of the UK Holding company. In this role I was able to build continuous improvement plans for the whole finance function, organising cross departmental regular meetings, building on the brand of the finance function and act as the linking-pin between finance and operations. I had the privilege to partake in a 'High potential' programme, where I was able to focus intensely on my personal development, act as a mentor to more junior members of staff, and undertake Institution of Leadership and Management training.

The main task of this role was to produce management information and GP reconciliation for stakeholders, using information from an outsourced payroll company and system. Due to the creation of a UK Shared Service Centre, in this role I was able to streamline and improve on reporting processes. This resulted in the reduction of headcount within the team, and an improvement of 3 days to the management accounts cycle of specific businesses. Within this role, I was selected to implement, manage and present a 'Finance Board Pack', to aid the senior leadership team in company decision making. As part of this project, I was responsible for the testing and management of the internal control framework - reviewing the compliance of internal processes and procedures in accordance with globally set controls, reporting to senior management, both locally and globally.
