In this role I was responsible for a team of 5 people across three locations and two states reporting into the Head of Learning and Development with dotted line reporting to Head of Operational Excellence.

Appointed to develop key components of the TAL claims Academy, starting with growing TAL Group claims ‘footprint’ in Melbourne and establishing claims teams in Melbourne and development of the claims technical ‘skills and capacity framework’ aligned to the transparency of capability for claims technical specialists.

Responsible for overall management and development of the Asia Pacific claims professionals; the activities, strategy, structure, process, resourcing and reporting. Including the management of 12 resources across seven location in the Asia Pacific Region.

Successfully lead the internal project team of 10 people during a period of integration of Lumley Life and PrefSure, focusing on 'Business Processes' redesign.

Performed a number of roles from Administration, Underwriting and Claims over an extended period in both Melbourne and Sydney

Support role to the management team of the claims department, with a specfic focus on the development of the claims professional

Claims lead on the Insurance Design Phase of the MLC/Aviva Integration Program, performing the analysis for the ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ operating models for claims (incl articulating technology requirements, structure, portfolio segmentation) under the overarching direction of the Project Manager in consultation with MLC Claims Manager.
