Kathleen is an energy regulatory lawyer with a focus on Indigenous law. She has also provided advice on a range of environmental issues including permitting and approval, environmental assessment, incident investigation and management and compliance. Kathleen has appeared before the Canada Energy Regulator (formerly the National Energy Board), Alberta Utilities Commission, Alberta Energy Regulator, Alberta Surface Rights Board, and Pipeline Arbitration Committee. She provides counsel to industry regarding approvals for power plants, including wind farms and cogeneration plants, pipelines, oil sands projects, LNG facilities, wells, and telecommunications towers. Kathleen represents clients in proceedings before regulatory tribunals, in disputes between industry participants and in negotiations, arbitrations and engagement with landowners and Indigenous groups.
